The Performance Machine wheel begins life as a raw aluminum ingot. Using high pressure and temperature the non-directional grain of aluminum is changed to a high integrity multi-directional grain structure of a forging. The aluminum remains solid throughout the process as the forging dies come together and change the shape of the wheel. The resulting radial grain direction places the highest material strength in the same direction as the operating loads. The completed forging is CNC Lathe turned, then placed on a CNC mill and sculpted into one of 15 patterns. PM’s finishing department then hand polishes each wheel to a mirror like shine. We can also supply your PM Forged wheel show chrome plated!

Design and produce a custom wheel like no other. The result is PM's NEW Contour Series and their vision has become a gleaming machined aluminum reality with the first of the series, the WIDOW MAKER! Completely abandoning the traditional look of a motorcycle rim and hub, PM has allowed the spoke to emerge from the center of the wheel, form staggeringly detailed contours and then blend seamlessly into the outer rim. Two years of painstaking design work, completely new tooling and hundreds of hours of machine time have gone into the creation of the PM Contour Wheels.
